About

AS A COLLEGIATE

My quest for knowledge never seems to end, and with the end of my time as a student at Frostburg State University, I will seek knowledge in new, currently unknown ways.

I love binaries. And by love, I mean hate. And by hate, I mean I love to ridicule and tear down binaries that stand in the way of equality (see AS A WOMAN) and knowledge (see AS A WRITER).

I study words. I study words as they apply to me, especially as a woman, youth, and student. I study words as they apply to what I like.

AS A WOMAN

My cynicism knows no bounds. I critique the patriarchal societal norms with no boundaries, and continually work towards equality for all people. k
Mostly, I am a humanist. I love all and place trust in people, even when I probably should not.

AS A WRITER

Do I ever stop dreaming? Do I ever, for even a moment, cease reaching for words to express my thoughts, and my dreams?

From the first moment I held a pen in my hand I began writing. From the moment I constructed my first sentence, I loved writing.

Writing brings me joy in all areas of my life. I love journalism and creative non-fiction, mostly. I find room for a love of all writing, though, even the dreaded academic essay about Chaucer (which I wrote somewhat successfully as a college sophomore).
